Network Infrastructure Services Survey (2007/08)

The JISC Monitoring Unit is currently undertaking its annual survey of the JISC-funded network infrastructure services; namely the JANET network and other services provided by JANET(UK). Feedback from the survey will be presented to the JISC Networking committee in the spring, informing future development of the network infrastructure services.
All institutions with JISC-funded JANET connections are invited to participate, and it is critical a wide selection of the community takes part so that JISC is fully informed of their views and opinions.
The survey comprises three sections, with the first taking a strategic overview of IT provision and the role of JISC within JANET-connected institutions. As such, it should be completed by the member of staff with overall responsibility for IT services. The remainder of the survey considers the JANET network and services in more detail, and may require delegation to other members of staff. The online survey system has a facility to allow this.

The JISC Monitoring Unit treats confidentiality very seriously, and all data are held in compliance with the Data Protection Act (1998). Neither you, nor your colleagues will be named in any publications arising from the survey without your specific permission. Your institution is included in the public list of invited institutions; however, all submitted information will be completely anonymised in any publications.
We use SurveyConsole to conduct our online surveys. If you use the online system, please note SurveyConsole uses cookies to track individuals within surveys, to enable them to return to a survey mid-way through. If you disable cookies and your session is interrupted or times out, you will be forced to start from the beginning.
