Network Status Information (SD Ref: J3.4)
JANET(UK) provide 24 Network monitoring machines situated at different points on JANET to acquire information on the availability of the network, as well as its usage. Information is available through the web interfaces to these machines. The current availability of links is accessible without access credentials; managers at individual sites can view previous availability data as well as usage statistics using usernames and passwords provided by JANET(UK).

Data regarding the Netsight system are not currently held in the Monitoring Unit database.
