IP Service (SD Ref: J3.1)
The basic IP transmission service is considered to consist of two components for each client organisation:
- an access component between the client organisation and the JANET national backbone;
- a core component providing transit for client organisations across the JANET national backbone.
Availability data are available for all JISC funded links comprising JANET; traffic data are only available for the access component between the client organisation and the backbone:
- Network Availability of the IP Service
- Traffic between client organisations and JANET
- Availability of the core network

Raw Institution Traffic & Availability Data and JANET Traffic/Outage Data by Institution and by Sector is available also.
